Wood, ceramic, glass, acrylic, plastic, DVD single channel video loop with audio. Sitting on top of the television console is a ceramic soup tureen and ladle in the form of a duck. The proverbial “Sitting Duck.” The lid is removable and inside is a ceramic model of a partially submerged fetus resting on a bed of glass marbles.

The video image is seen through a screen consisting of hundreds of glass marbles arranged on the surface. The marbles create a diffused, compound image, as the video image is repeated inside each marble, like that of an insect’s eye. The video itself is a complex, abstract patchwork of a single image animated and repeated, creating a montage of color and shape. The audio consists of a low rumble reminiscent of an engine or machine.
